Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a conservation area of remarkable significance in northern Tanzania.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area spans over 8,000 square kilometres, encompassing the Ngorongoro Crater and its surrounding highlands. The crater itself is the world's largest unbroken volcanic caldera, created by the collapse of a massive volcano millions of years ago. The crater floor, about 20 kilometres in diameter, is a haven for an astounding array of wildlife, earning it the title of Africa's "Garden of Eden."
