Arusha National Park is situated on the foothills of Mount Meru, Africa’s most beautiful volcano and fifth-highest peak. Covering an area of approximately 552 square kilometres, Arusha National Park is one of Tanzania's smaller national parks but is celebrated for its ecological diversity. The park is easily accessible, located only about 37 kilometres from Arusha, making it a convenient destination for those starting or ending their Tanzania Safari adventure.
The park is characterized by three distinct zones: the Momela Lakes, Ngurdoto Crater, and Mount Meru. Each zone contributes to the park's rich biodiversity, providing habitats for a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and a myriad of bird species. The Momela Lakes are a particular highlight, with their vibrant hues reflecting the surrounding landscapes.
